Note: You will need to install the rain sensor via SD-110 sensor decoder. Normally closed rain sensors are not supported at this time.
- Install & discover the SD-110 decoder. For more information, access Adding a SD-110 Sensor Decoder to the NLP
- Navigate to → Irrigation controller → Control
- Under Rain IO dropdown, select sensor decoder address attached to rain sensor
- Under Rain start delay (min)(1) insert your desired delay. If no delay is desired, insert 0 min.
- Under bucket size (in), input:
- For N/O Rain Sensors = 0
- For NLP Rain Mater (TRB-NLP) = 0.04
- For other Tipping Rain Buckets = Contact Manufacturer
(1) Rain Start delay references the additional delay in irrigation after a rain sensor changes state. Rain sensor action & features can vary based on make & model.
I.e.:
- Rains for 2 hours for 0.25" of total rain
- Rain start delay is 180 min (3 hours)
N/O rain sensor
- Once sensor state reverts from "Closed" (Raining per Sensor) to "Open" (Not Raining per Sensor), delay irrigation by an additional 180 minutes
